«HCTB» is an anti-war series based on the realities of life of my family in Ukraine in 2014. All works were made on sheets of galvanized tin. The cold of the metal basis deprives family photos of their “warmth” and underlines the semantics of the War. On this insensitive base, by the means of "Scrabble" children's game, the new terrible reality is reflected: victim numbers, chaotic military abbreviations, vowels and consonants in alphabetic opposition, dumplings in ranks and the funeral count of tulips, and game points are transformed into real loss of human life...
